The Little Black Apron Cooking Classes are our answer to saving you from yet another torturous evening at your local dance club convincing swarthy men to grind the blushing bride or a brutal mid-morning shower hosted by Great Aunt Penny. Enjoy an event with your nearest and dearest, but your way -- with good alcohol and good food. And the best part is that we'll teach you how to cook in your very own kitchen. So get excited and save yourself, the bride, the mother-to-be or the birthday girl.

Below are nine brunch, lunch and dinner menus that will not only make your mouth water, but teach you and your fellow culinary neophytes a few tricks around the kitchen. Your friends will sing your praise for years as you've saved them from yet another G-rated baby shower and taught them a thing or two about making taste buds dance. So, let us know which menu strikes your fancy and let's set the date.

  • MENU I ($40 per person)
    - Roasted Root Vegetable Hash
    - Poached Eggs with Basil Pesto
    - Apple Coffee Cake with Warm Brown Sugar Drizzle

  • MENU II ($50 per person)
    - Mini Chocolate Orange Muffins
    - Wild Mushroom Fritatta with Goat Cheese and Arugula Salad
    - Crispy Potato Rosti (similar to hash browns) with Roasted Red Pepper Sauce

  • MENU III ($60 per person)
    - Prosciutto Cups with Baked Eggs, Herbs and Asiago Cheese
    - Baby Greens with Point Reyes Original Blue Cheese Vinaigrette
    - Baked Blueberry French Toast with Pecans and Homemeade Blueberry Syrup


  • MENU I ($50 per person)
    - Chilled Tomato Gazpacho
    - Piquillo Pepper, Spanish Jamon and Manchego Cheese Paninis
    - Arugula and Tomato Salad with Sherry-Dijon Vonaigrette, Toasted Pepitas & Spanish Olives
    - Individual Vanilla Semifreddos (similar to ice cream) with Honey, Almond and Fig Compote

  • MENU II ($70 per person)
    - Butternut Squash and Apple Soup with Roasted Garlic or Asparagus Soup with Lemon and Basil
    - Grilled Chicken Cobb Salad (with roasted scallions, avocado, tomato, hard boiled egg, crumbled blue cheese) with Lemon-Shallot Vinaigrette
    - Individual Apple Tarte Tatins with Spiced Whipped Cream

  • MENU III ($90 per person)
    - Miso Soup with Soba Noodles, Tofu and Scallions
    - Miso Glazed Halibut
    - Asian Cabbage Slaw with Ginger Soy Dressing
    - Homemade Fortune Cookies

    - Pork Tenderloin with Roasted Apples and Onions
    - Brussels Sprouts with Maple and Crispy Prosciutto
    - Herbed Cauliflower Puree
    - Flambed Bananas with Brown Sugar and Cinnamon

  • MENU II ($75 per person)
    - Rustic Tortilla Soup topped with Avocado
    - Grilled Shrimp Tacos with Homemade Roasted Tomato Salsa and Queso Fresco (garnished with diced tomato, red onion and cilantro)
    - Black Beans Simmered with Roasted Green Chilies and Garlic
    - Tomato Salad with Fresh Cilantro Vinaigrette
    - Grilled Mango with Lime and Coconut Sorbet

  • MENU III ($95 per person)
    - Mushroom Soup with Truffled Ciabatta Crouton
    - Grilled Radicchio Salad with Arugula and Balsamic Herb Vinaigrette
    - Homemade Pasta with Roasted Vegetables, Turkey Italian Sausage and Parmigiano Reggiano
    - Tiramisu Trifle
